This project began as nothing more than an archive. A way to organise and catalog a lifetime worth of things. Found things, purchased things, inherited things, dead things. In fact the archive is a way of holding on. As time goes on, the past can slip away. This cabinet of curiosities clearly holds personal secrets. An unlikely series of objects, all photographed on stark white. Do these objects make up the life of the artist?
This series of images each hold a personal story . But here they are completely decontextualised, displayed on flat white by themselves. Then recontextualised as a grid. As we move from object to object on a large white wall, the viewer can create their own story. Of each object, of the progression, of the relationships between these things.
